"Cherry Gardens Farm is a 13ha holding on the edge of Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. We produce a wide range of vegetables and fruit for year round sales through our farm shop. We also operate a low-key PYO for some vegetables, fruit and flowers as well as supplying other local outlets.
You would be involved in all aspects of a very diverse operation from plant raising, soil preparation, planting, weed control and irrigation to harvestingand packing produce ready for sale. The nature of the work is very varied, at times physically demanding, ranging from hand work and propagation in the polytunnels to mechanised field scale production. The applicant should be willing to aim to work to a high standard in an efficient manner.
The position is to start February 2016 and go through to November 2016 with the possibility of becoming a longer term job. We are unable to provide accommodation on the farm but can help with finding somewhere locally."
